Privacy Policy
Effective 31 October 2026
The short version
- Your dhikr history, goals and settings stay on your iPhone. We never receive them.
- Rayya has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Rayya can pause the apps you choose, but it can't see their names or what you do in them.
- Apple and RevenueCat process your subscription without your name or email.
Who we are
Rayya ("we", "us") is an iPhone app for dhikr (remembrance of Allah). This policy covers the Rayya app and this website, getrayya.com. Questions go to support@getrayya.com.
What stays on your iPhone
Rayya stores the following only on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and iCloud sync is turned off.
- Your practice: daily counts for each dhikr, your goals and changes to them, and streaks worked out from that history.
- Your content: custom adhkar you create, and edits to rounds and goals.
- Reminders: the times you set. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone.
- Preferences: appearance, counter style, haptics and Mindful Pause settings.
- Onboarding answers: your intention, what gets in your way, your usual phone time and the kinds of apps that distract you. Rayya uses these to suggest a plan.
- Subscription status: whether your subscription is active, its plan and its renewal date, so Rayya works offline.
Like other app data, this may be included in your iPhone's backups, which Apple handles under its own privacy policy.
Screen Time and Mindful Pause
Mindful Pause is optional. If you turn it on, iOS asks you to allow Screen Time access for yourself. You then choose apps or categories in Apple's own picker.
- Apple gives Rayya an anonymous token for each app or category you choose. Rayya can show and pause those apps, but it can't read their names or see your activity, messages or content inside them.
- Rayya stores the tokens, your unlock times and any Return to app links in a container shared only with Rayya's own Screen Time extensions, on your iPhone.
- When you use Return to app, Rayya checks that the app you linked (for example Instagram) is installed and opens it. It sends that app no information.
You can turn Mindful Pause off in Rayya, or remove Rayya's access in the Settings app under Screen Time.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple processes all payments. We never see your payment details, name or Apple Account.
Rayya uses RevenueCat to check your subscription. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created for this install of Rayya, your App Store purchase and transaction details (such as product, price, currency, dates and renewal status), and basic technical details such as app version, iOS version, storefront country and IP address. It does not receive your dhikr history or any other app data. We use these anonymous purchase records only to provide and support your subscription.
We share data only with the service providers named in this policy: Apple, RevenueCat and Cloudflare. Each processes it only to provide its service to us, and each is bound to protect it at least as well as this policy describes.
What we don't do
- We don't ask you to create an account or give us your email to use Rayya.
- We don't use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we don't sell or share your data.
This website
getrayya.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Its fonts and files are served from our own domain. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site.
When you email us
If you write to support@getrayya.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to help you, and we delete it when you ask us to. Mail to this address is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our inbox.
How long data is kept
- On your iPhone: until you delete it in the app or delete Rayya.
- Purchase records at RevenueCat: while you use Rayya and as needed for accounting and tax records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Support emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Website request logs at Cloudflare: kept briefly under Cloudflare's own policy, for security and delivery.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Delete everything on your iPhone: delete the Rayya app. iOS removes its data, including Screen Time selections.
- Remove pieces: reset today's count for a dhikr, or delete reminders, inside the app.
- Stop Screen Time access: turn off Mindful Pause, or remove Rayya under Screen Time in the Settings app.
- Stop reminders: turn them off in Rayya, or under Notifications in the Settings app.
- Subscription records and emails: write to support@getrayya.com to ask what we hold or to have it deleted. Purchase records are anonymous, so tell us roughly when you subscribed so we can find them. Apple keeps its own records of your purchases.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is used. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Rayya is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. Mindful Pause uses Screen Time access that you grant for your own iPhone.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Rayya handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
